About this deal

It is possible for cosmetics to contain one of the suspect ingredients without it appearing on the ingredient list due to it not reaching the concentration threshold to disclose it and cosmetic manufacturers choice to not disclose it. Well, aside from its hemp-derived cannabis oil conditioning properties (known for delivering serious hydration), its creamy texture provides the easiest application of any mascara I've ever used. That said, I almost always love the look of mascara applied from larger wands so I can deal with the clean-up after application (To remove, I wait for the offending smear to dry, then remove with either a cotton bud or an eyebrow spoolie).

To be honest, an oil-infused mascara always sounds problematic to me, but I’m all in favor of testing out a new mascara…especially one promising volume! If you're looking for a mascara that effortlessly combines classic elegance with a modern edge, look no further than the Milk Makeup Kush Mascara. It has hemp-derived cannabis seed oil to help condition lashes and it fuses with the heart-shaped fibers to lashes for thickness without fallout. I don’t much care about the shape and size of the wand if I like the end result from a mascara, but I do wish I could apply it without the mess! I love to apply a few coats of this to make my lashes a little more intense but on natural makeup days, one coat is more than enough. However, this mascara clumpy easily, with debris always falling and I have to use a tissue every time to clean the brush. I get a smidge of mascara on my eye lids some of the time when using the Kush Mascara wand, but usually nothing terrible, and I’m willing to put up with it. I didn't get any clumps, and the mascara was volumizing and made my lashes look thicker and curlier. It has been my favorite since I first tried it, at first it was a bit too liquid but as I used it and it dried a bit it just really became my favorite.

And, just when you thought it couldnt get any better, Milk Makeup prove us wrong the product is not only vegan, but cruelty and paraben-free. Freelance beauty editor Amy Lawrenson told me that it's "a dream for anyone who wants thicker, fuller, longer-looking lashes. This product was very light and fanned out the lashes slightly but was not as impactful as my current mascara. However, I have used this mascara for the past week each day during my 8 hour work shifts, and I have noticed that every single time after just a few hours I begin to get black smudges under my eyes. Any cannabis products referenced above are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. However some sulfates are so good at their job, they can wash off your skin’s own natural oils that keep it moisturised and protected which can lead to dryness and irritation.

Conditioning, hemp-derived cannabis seed oil fuses to lashes for thickness without fallout, while also working to fill the hollow fibers with formula for a double dose of volume. With Milk’s new Kush Mascara, I have worn it for long days, through naps and have totally forgotten it was on my eyes and rubbed them without much trouble. It has come to the point where I make sure to check the mirror every so often to make sure I don’t have smudges around my eyes— have tried with and without setting spray, no difference noticed. If you use mascara regularly, you might have already noticed that the formula drys out a little bit after opening the mascara tube for the first time. This is not a best-of, five-star mascara, but if your needs are mine, it's a solid four-star: black without being heavy; light-feeling; nicely buildable for good, fluffy volume; washes off with just water; keeps lashes soft, not crunchy; and doesn't flake (can smudge by the end of the day, though, fyi).
