About this deal

Whether you are looking for HDMI cables for your home cinema setups, cleaning kits for your binos, or extra storage for your laptop, our range of tech accessories will have something for your needs. To put the bass to the test, we put on Billie Eilish’s bury a friend; the low frequencies felt controlled, even if they were thumpy enough to feel in our chest, while sub-bass drones had a suitable wobble to them without overpowering the other frequencies. The range maxes out at about 10m though so as long as you keep within that range you shouldn’t have too many issues. Olivia was previously TechRadar's Senior Editor - Home Entertainment, covering everything from headphones to TVs. The built-in mic offers average intelligibility, while the cable's inline mic is a bit better, which is to be expected.

It's worth bearing in mind that though they offer good sound and design, for those who like to wear their headphones a few hours at a time, there is a chance that you could experience some discomfort and although it offers clear and crisp sound it's still not perfectly balanced. Another annoyance is that despite the fact that it looks great, the cable that you use to connect your phone when the headphones run out of battery doesn't have volume control.

The matte black metal construction, golden metallic button, and soft faux leather add up to an understated high-quality feeling — certainly higher quality than the Bose QC35 for example. Naturally the biggest design advantage that these headphones have is the fact that they’re Bluetooth connected and therefore wireless. Manage your home with our range of smart tech, which makes life convenient and entertaining in a world where everything's connected. With the Marshall Bluetooth app installed on your mobile device (available on iOS and Android), you can customise your listening experience.

For extra peace of mind, they come with a denim carrying pouch; it won’t offer the protection of a hard case but it should save your cans from scratches, and it looks really cool, too. The Monitor II ANCs work with the Marshall Bluetooth app, which allows you to toggle through the different noise cancellation settings and try out different EQ presets (more on those later). If you don’t want to dive into the app, you can switch between three different presets by tapping the ‘M’ button on the headphones. The Monitor II ANC are the classic black headphones with the white logo script on the outer earpieces, the Mid ANC have the gold logo script. We found the Marshall Monitor II ANCs to be really comfortable, thanks to their soft ear cups and well-padded headband; they’re not too heavy and don’t clamp around your ears too tightly, like some of Marshall’s on-ear headphones. Since its foundation in 1962, the long-established English company Marshall have been committed to high-quality and robust stage equipment with a timeless design, their latest closed Bluetooth headphones Monitor II A. s, I heard a spacious sound with really solid groove once bassist David Piltch sheathed his bow and switched to pizzicato halfway through the tune. The Monitor II ANC are an over-ear model that offers up to 30 hours of playtime with the active noise cancelling activated while the Mid ANC are an on-ear model that offers up to 20 hours of wireless playtime with the active noise cancelling activated. I hope Marhsall has improved their product in the meanwhile, it would be nice to have Marshall here to reassure all the potential users on this topic.

One downside to the Monitor II ANC headphones that’s pretty surprising is the lack of any high quality Bluetooth codecs. Marshall estimates battery life to be roughly 30 hours, but your results will vary based on your volume levels. input on the left ear cup which was nice since I still have plenty of devices that aren’t Bluetooth compatible. But was it fair for one headphone to have the advantage of EQ and the other to be playing au naturel?

Whispers of strings permeate the soundscape, all the while powerful horns blare and intermingle - dancing from one character's theme to the next, and not a moment is missed. It wasn't severe enough to bother us but we did notice that sometimes the lower register instruments were slightly too prominent in moments where the higher registers were supposed to shine.
