Special thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Landmark for sharing this amazing digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest opinions. Playful and irreverent, spine-tingling and spooky, The September House puts a fresh spin on the classic haunted house story, delivering an immersive tale about the secrets lurking within one building’s walls, and within the lives of its inhabitants. No cost is too great, and, as readers will discover, Jess is plunged into some very dark depths indeed in pursuit of her goals. Initially, I must say that I enjoyed this less than I had hoped for, but still definitely enjoyed certain parts. I found everything I crave in a thriller (multiple POV, two timelines and a clever plot) AND the characters were well-developped.
