Hinari MB280 The Genie Multi-Attachment Blender
About this deal
All you need to apply is to have a debit or credit card, to be over 18 years of age, and to be a UK resident. With a high torque 250W motor and 2 stainless steel blades, the Kitchen Genie 8-in-1 Blender can blend just about anything in a matter of seconds. When I bought this a few years ago I was a little wary, being so inexpensive I thought the quality would probably not be great. I then took the mixing blade that has given NO problems to finish the job of grinding the cashews and though it worked, it also began to grind away the rubber, so clearly this machine is only good with liquids and soft material.
I should add its so easy to clean and the large number of cups etc mean if you are making a number of items, you can keep the already made items in the container you just blended/chopped them in.Also it doesn't seem to like fruit skins, for example apple ones, and struggles to slice through those. Some reviewers have noticed the rubber seals breaking up but I have had no problems, the original seal is still in good condition and I have had no leaks. Over all though, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone, any size kitchen, any level of cooking skill. Compact, lightweight and dishwasher-safe, with microwave-safe cups, it makes cooking quick and easy, and can peel, chop, grind, mix, blend and whip!
This little 'Genie' with it's no-fuss approach to smaller food preparations is an absolute must - not only for breakfast but suppers are lovely too . I have it only 6 weeks and have used it about 25-30 times probably, but always with liquid, nothing hard. It does its job, but when you are making fruit or veg smoothies you really have to make sure to precut them or you WILL get lumps. The only problem was however much I tried to stir the frequently insoluble lumps into the milk the more I couldn't help thinking (as I stared into the abyss of 'unwelcome goo' that occasionally gave a resounding 'sploip'!I bought this because I've seen the TV ads for the magic bullet but couldn't justify the cost for something I wasn't sure I'd use, so was delighted to see this budget version. This is never off my kitchen worktop, the chopping and grinding blades are perfect for all kind of jobs and the cups it comes with are just the right size for making sauces, choping up herbs and garlic for cooking.
