About this deal

Also, affordable - here, in german-speaking countries, blu ray releases of these films are much more expensive. It includes most of the extras from Paramount's 2009 disc, which this release otherwise improves upon. tracks, though Part II has a bit more ambiance to it, particularly in the bar scenes later in the film.

movie's release and success, the differences between directing and producing, filmmaking with "franchise" on the mind, his additional works, and more. With Jason now expanding his murder spree to include pretty much anyone living within the vicinity of Camp Crystal Lake, the fourth entry in the franchise comes several memorable moments, like Crispin Glover's hilarious impromptu dance moves and the beautiful Wrigley's Doublemint twins. Leave it to the folks at Scream Factory to make the fan’s dreams come true with this comprehensive set. The first film and Jason Goes to Hell are two-disc, BD50 packages where the first disc shows the original theatrical cut of the movies and the second disc contains unrated versions.Scream Factory pulled off a similarly fantastic Halloween box set a few years back, with brand new extras for each film. This Friday the 13th 8-Movie Collection isn’t bad, but if you already have previously available sets there’s nothing new here worth picking up again.

This is where we begin to oddly cheer for the killer while the timid, self-deprecating Shelly adds a redeeming charm. Part III is less interesting aurally than the previous two films as the focus was likely driven towards the visuals. Even though the Scream Factory set didn’t offer up new transfers, they at least had their own discs with a terrific array of bonus features. All of the discs are housed in a blood-red 6-disc case, each disc gets its own tray without being stacked. Updated daily and in real-time, we track all high-def disc news and release dates, and review the latest disc titles. Europe's busiest forums, with independent news and expert reviews, for TVs, Home Cinema, Hi-Fi, Movies, Gaming, Tech and more. For the week of October 12th, Shout Factory is releasing its massive Friday the 13th Collection box set.

As a kid of the 80s who grew up watching these films edited for content on broadcast television, I have many fond memories of this series. While a group of teenagers throw a party next door, a small family, including the young and resourceful Tommy Jarvis, attempt to steer clear of them. However, there are caveats, you’re not getting all of the bonus features, you’re missing out on the 3-D version of Part III, and as a whole, that Friday the 13th Collection Deluxe Edition is just a hell of an attractive set.And speaking of, if Scream Factory can give similar treatment to the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, and maybe finally bring Buffy the Vampire Slayer to Blu-ray—we’d love that too.

Grain is better resolved and the level of detail has been boosted, but not by much as the low light cinematography can only allow for so much visual information to be obtained.

Agreed on the Part 2 footage, although when you view all of the results there's a reason why most of it was left on the cutting room floor.
