About this deal

Mine has ALWAYS had staticky Cherry MX Blue switches, especially the “s” key from day one and now several others are doing it. Peak brightness is a little dim, but the switch housing distributes light fairly evenly and doesn’t leave any spots too dark, even on keys with symbols etched into the lower sections. embodies the exceptional quality we've come to expect from Corsair, with a robust aluminum frame that uses resilient, Cherry-branded switches. Ocuk Limited trading as Overclockers UK is a credit broker, not a lender, and is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. They might be squat, but the Cherry MX Red low-profile switches here are a long way from scissor switches or low-profile membrane designs we’ve seen in the past.

For a keyboard that's supposedly well-suited to slinging in a bag, it has a thick and somewhat unyielding braided cable, too. Along with the dedicated profile toggle, brightness cycle, and Win Lock buttons -- everything RGB too, should I mention -- the Corsair K70 RGB MK. Powerful CORSAIR iCUE software enables stylish macro programming, dynamic multicolour illumination and full-system lighting synchronization.

It's mainly made out of plastic, and the top plate is aluminum, giving the keyboard a better build than the Corsair K68 RGB, but the keyboard flexes a bit. The keyboard is well-factored towards gaming, though: There's full anti-ghosting and 1ms polling to ensure your inputs are read properly, however clumsily you might make them. Thankfully Corsair's iCue software is fully-featured, giving you access to everything from, yes, lighting effects (synced to other Corsair kit, if you have it) and more granular controls, like customizing the behavior of the Windows Lock key, macro recording which can include mouse control, and even adjusting the polling rate. I definitely appreciate that it is a full-sized keyboard because it has everything I need; considering I have at least 48 skills in FFXIV, I’ll take all the keys I can get. The SteelSeries is a featured-packed keyboard that allows you to customize the pre-travel needed on a per-key basis, and at its minimum setting, it offers a really quick gaming experience.

Unless you were absolutely tied to the idea of low-profile keys, we'd probably opt for the big boy K70 over this. The media keys are a particular highlight thanks to the inclusion of a high quality metal volume wheel. Using UPS Standard, everything arrived in excellent condition to us here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for our review today.Various lighting effects are available, and the illumination can be adjusted for each key individually. Additionally, there are various guides to answer frequently asked questions about mechanical keyboards. RAPIDFIRE is a superior mechanical keyboard, which features CHERRY MX Speed keyswitches reinforced by a lightweight aluminium frame built to withstand a lifetime of gaming.

While it's reduced in height, Corsair has presented this in essentially the same way as the standard-height K70 MK. By optimizing your palm position through lower key height and accessibility optimized multimedia controls, the all new Low Profile keyboard design brings your palms closer to a parallel position for a more natural feel.Under the keycaps, Corsair has stuck with the ubiquitous and well-loved range of Cherry MX mechanical switches. The iCUE software is not particularly user friendly but does have a lot of potential if your willing to learn how to use it although recent updates to iCUE (November 2019) have made it yet more complex, not easier to use. It has enough texture and the material has a slightly rubbery feel making it feel not too hard and not too "sticky" especially when sweaty. The entire frame is tethered to your desktop via a generous length of braided cable, terminating with two USB-A inputs for the keyboard and providing power to the K70 MK. Obviously as the name indicates you get that cool RGB lighting (per key configurable), and with the all-new iCUE software you can animate, and add some macros and profiles with your RGB setup all synced up from the iCUE software suite.
