Bent Road: A Novel
About this deal
The census collection is designed so that each group of postcodes should contain at least 50 people in Scotland.
Both books talk about farm life in a small community (Bent Road in Kansas, Dark Places in Missouri), where something terrible has happened. The family's father, Arthur, grew up in the town and left years ago after his little sister died and hadn't been back since. The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal.
The language seems simple; no running to the dictionary to look up unfamiliar words or gasps at literary flourishes.
The rear and side gardens have yorkshire stone boundaries and offer once more sizeable lawned area, established plants, shrubs and trees whilst there is also a paved patio area and childs fort.
